Phillip Jones, Director of Two Degrees Group, teaches us how to use soft skills so we can yield more from our communications. Phillip runs us through the ten soft skills he sees as most important in creating a quality connection. He discusses how to implement these in both physical and virtual workplaces to a communicator’s advantage.
Phillip continues by examining soft skills in a COVID-19 context. These techniques have become even more important as we adjust to a virtual workplace with connections becoming harder to make. Skills such as self-motivation, trust, and flexibility, should be prioritized in order to ease the communications process in the current climate.
He also argues that this crisis has presented us with a great opportunity to reflect and reshape our culture and values in an organisation. These will be guided by the soft skills.
