We’re constantly on the hunt for talented, like-minded professionals to join the contentgroup journey

Current Opportunities

contentgroup is a content communication agency based in the heart of Canberra. For the past 20 years, we have been helping our clients tell stories, influence change and strengthen communities. In the last two years, we have experienced considerable growth in government sector business – at federal, state and local levels. We are currently working on several projects for a large range of government agencies including the Department of Defence where we have an embedded team, working alongside with Australian Defence Force, civilian personnel and public sector agency staff. We anticipate the number and scale of Defence and agency projects will grow rapidly and are seeking experienced communication and content professionals to join our team.

At contentgroup we live by a set of values and mantras that are key to how we approach our work, how we interact with each other and how we treat our clients. The contentgroup team is made up of remarkable communications professionals who dream big and put in their best effort every day. We appreciate, recognise and reward the contributions of all our people and offer employment conditions that actively demonstrate this philosophy.

contentgroup’s evidence-based communications methodology has been developed in conjunction with the Australian National University. We believe that it is the solution to one of the biggest challenges facing the government sector today – how to effectively communicate with communities to build trust and better lives.

The role

contentgroup is expecting to fill positions for experienced communication/content professionals who can join our team at short notice as new projects arise. You will have the ability to understand and navigate through large, complex organisations and achieve outcomes. Experience in government communication is preferred; ideally this will have been in Defence or another agency.

You will be based in our office in the Canberra CBD (‘Civic’) and/or in clients’ premise. You will be supported by a team of in-house communications, PR, videography, graphic design and business development experts. You will be trained in the contentgroup methodology, gain valuable experience in using it and become a champion in its application.

contentgroup is pre-approved on several government panels and has the infrastructure and capability to respond to requests for proposal/quotation issued through these panels.

Job Requirements

Ideally, you will have a minimum of five years’ experience in strategic communications, marketing and/or public relations, although we will consider you if you have less experience and meet other requirements. You will have excellent writing skills and knowledge of communication best practice, and have experience in managing multiple clients and/or projects concurrently. Experience working in or with government communications, including Defence, will be highly regarded, as will experience in managing a project.

You will appreciate and be committed to the contentgroup mission, vision, values and mantras and model these in your dealings with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.

You MUST have a base level (or better) security clearance or the ability to attain this quickly. As this is a client requirement, you MUST, therefore, be an Australian citizen. Applications from non-citizens cannot be considered.

How to Apply

Expressions of Interest should be submitted to recruitment@contentgroup.com.au by Wednesday 15 August 2018.
