Expert training and advice
contentgroup provides strategic communication training sessions called ‘Masterclasses’. Our Masterclasses are designed to upskill government communicators with knowledge of contentgroup’s Direct to Citizen Content Communication and Engagement (D2CCE) framework.
The D2CCE framework is comprehensive and evidence-based, it has been designed to build the effective communication skills you need to launch or update a communication practice with confidence.
Steps of the D2CCE framework include:
- Initiate: defining your communication challenges, stakeholder mapping, risk planning, governance and objectives.
- Planning: drawing on evidence of audience interests, policy and program needs and business objectives to plan specific communication activities and messaging.
- Iterating: how to continue adjusting your communication plan based on audience feedback.
Masterclass can be tailored to meet your needs, including online delivery, team or individual sessions, and half or full-day versions of the training. For more information about our Masterclasses, including virtual delivery options, contact us.
Media and Presentation Training
Whether you find yourself in front of a news camera, presenting at Senate Estimates or delivering a webinar – in this day and age, everyone is a storyteller. We provide corporate training sessions for teams and individuals who need to present and take questions with confidence on key policy or program issues.
Our experienced trainers include former professional journalists and broadcasters, as well as communication strategists. The team will create bespoke content for your training session so that you can practice the messaging or presentation scenarios you most need assistance with.
The training session includes the opportunity to test your presentation skills on camera in our broadcast quality studio, and to receive individual feedback from the expert facilitator. This practical, hands-on course will equip you with real-life skills to successfully present your initiatives whether to the media, internal teams or to the public.

We recognise that not every client needs a full communication strategy. Clients both new and old come to us for advice about specific issues or initiatives they are looking to get off the ground.
At contentgroup, our team of expert strategists, production staff and designers are ready to provide you with the advice you need, when you need it.
We are happy to work on a per-hour basis to provide advisory support as required for a wide range of subjects. These include:
- Stakeholder engagement,
- Risk management,
- Organisational transformation,
- Internal communication,
- Production requirements (e.g. podcast or webinar consultation),
- PR and media management, including crisis management.
Advice could take the form of short reports, recommendation papers or a one-to-one discussion with a senior member of our team.
If you have a communication question you’d like advice on, contact us to hear from a senior advisor directly.
