Hon Patrick Gorman MP

Assistant Minister Patrick Gorman has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Social Science from Curtin University. Prior to parliament, Assistant Minister Gorman was principal adviser to Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. As state secretary of WA Labor, Assistant Minister Gorman lead the 2017 state election campaign, electing Premier Mark McGowan in a record-breaking result. Since Assistant Minister Gorman’s election to parliament in 2018, he has become a strong voice for Western Australia and a strong voice for Australia’s national interest. In 2022, he was sworn in as the Assistant Minister to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in 2023 as Assistant Minister for the Public Service and in 2024 as Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General.
