Women in STEM – Sharing the Minerals Council of Australia’s story

Hosted by the Minerals Council of Australia, the Rio Tinto Women in Resources National Awards (WIRNA) were established in 2014 and offer great encouragement and reward for those who lead the Australian mining and resources industry through innovation, knowledge and leadership.

These awards not only recognise the current efforts of great women, gender diversity champions and companies, they also help to inspire the next generation, enhancing diversity and inclusion across the resources industry.

The awards encourage a shift in female representation by knocking down barriers, and the Minerals Council of Australia engaged contentgroup to help send this message through effective video content.

Our approach

contentgroup worked collaboratively with the Minerals Council of Australia and WIRNA organisers to showcase the ceremony and award winners through two video packages.

The first priority was a quality product. contentgroup worked with the MCA to develop consistent branding graphics to present a unified look to the videos that were complementary to the MCA’s on-stage visuals, web content, and brochures. Our videographer set up multiple cameras, making the videos more engaging by employing multiple camera angles.

The second priority was quick delivery of the completed content. To ensure the videos we produced met the MCA’s expectations and were delivered quickly, we launched the project with a detailed briefing meeting and operated as an extension of the MCA’s team. The MCA published the videos on their owned channels – website and social media accounts.

'The team at contentgroup were warm, attentive, responsive and professional throughout. They understood our needs quickly and clearly and used superior technical skills to showcase our high-profile event in the best way possible. The end product of two high-quality videos received positive feedback from a wide range of stakeholders.'
