Air Weapons Range Hazard reduction project
contentgroup is working with the Department of Defence to manage the communication for its Quail Island Air Weapons Range Hazard Reduction Project. The area located 65 kms west of Darwin was used as a bombing range between 1945- 1979. Defence has agreed to clear the islands of any unexploded bombs. The project has a number of stakeholders including other areas of Defence, Federal Government departments and agencies, University researchers, Tourism operators, the Northern Territory Government and the top end recreational fishing community. The project will run until 2014.
